Antique torchiere shade holder has been heated to bring out the underlying colors of some of the metals, stained with alcohol inks to highlight some of the beautiful riased art deco design, and then protected with 3 coats of matte finish sealer. Since there were hints of purples and bluish purples in the metal, the inks used are Lake and Eggplant. These same colors have been used on the large antique finial. Finally, it is embellished with a green and sapphire rhinestone vintage filigree.
The piece is surrounded with beautiful, chunky strands of crystal, glass, stone and metal beads and prisms, some of which are exquisite! The colors used include light sapphire, cobalt, navy blue, purple, violet, burgundy, light violet, olive green, teal, emerald, bronze and gold. There are lots of iridescent colored crystal and glass beads in this mix, so there is a ton of sparkle. There are large clear crystal prisms, and Swarovski blue~violet, dark blue, and light sapphire crystal prisms.
Attached to the strands are plum arrowhead crystal prisms, dark aqua arrowhead crystal prisms, aqua water drop crystal prisms, opaque blue jade water drop crystal prisms, gold water drop crystal prisms, violet water drop crystal prisms, cobalt water drop crystal prisms, and gorgeous antique notched arrowhead lead crystal prisms in two sizes and two patterns. The center strand holds a large aurora borealis "sun" disk.
This is a substantial, heavy piece of beautiful crystal art that measures 5 1/2" in diameter and a total of 30" in length.
